Why Allaway

We own The Acres. And we run the show.

We own The Acres — a 400-acre private campus 90 minutes from NYC — which means we control the venue, the operations, and the production end-to-end for any activation we run there. For activations off-property, our 90-person ops team scales to wherever the brief lives.

One team. One contract. End-to-end accountability.

Brand Activations · FAQ

Questions brands ask before they commit.

What drives the cost, how long it takes, how an activation pays for itself, and how we work alongside your existing brand and creative teams.

What is a brand activation?

A brand activation is a live experience built to put people inside a brand rather than in front of an ad. Allaway produces multi-day, immersive activations — a branded venue, a program, hospitality and content capture — designed so attendees create and share the story themselves.

How much does a multi-day brand activation cost?

Every activation is scoped to the brief, so we build each budget from the ground up rather than quoting from a rate card. The main cost drivers are guest numbers, how much of the site is custom-built, the length of the program and the scale of the content team on the ground.

Many activations recover a significant share of their cost through sponsorship, ticketing and merchandise. Share your goals in a brief and we’ll come back with a budget range that fits them.

How far ahead do we need to start planning?

The earlier the better. A flagship activation needs time for sponsorship sales to build, and custom builds need lead time for fabrication and permits. A tighter timeline is possible at reduced scope — tell us your dates and we’ll tell you honestly what fits the window.

How can a brand activation pay for itself?

Through six revenue lines: ticket sales, sponsorships, private rooms, VIP upgrades, merchandise and media. We build the commercial model alongside the creative, so the event has a revenue plan before a single element is designed.

On our strongest programs, these lines have covered the majority of production cost.

What do you handle, and what stays with our team or our creative agency?

We own venue, build, operations, hospitality, programming and on-site delivery. Your brand or creative agency owns the brand platform, the identity and the messaging — we translate it into a physical place and a working schedule.

We work alongside creative agencies regularly; it’s a common and comfortable split.

How do you measure whether an activation worked?

Against whatever the brief set: organic content volume and reach, earned media value, sponsorship revenue, product trial, attendee sentiment, and repeat intent measured by post-event survey. We agree on the measures before the event and report against them afterward.

On our creator activations, unpaid attendees have driven a wave of organic content within days of the event closing.

What if we don’t have an audience of our own to invite?

Most brands don’t at first. We build the guest list with you — existing customers, creators, ambassadors, partner communities and, where it fits, ticketed public attendance. The mix depends on whether the goal is content, loyalty or reach.

Several of our longest-running activations began with a brand that had no event audience at all.

Is an activation better than sponsoring an existing event?

Sponsorship buys visibility at someone else’s event, on their terms, alongside other brands. An activation gives you the whole environment, the full guest list and every piece of content that comes out of it — and it becomes an asset you own and can repeat.

Sponsorship is usually cheaper per head. Activation is usually worth more per head.
